What is AMH

Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) is a protein hormone produced by the granulosa cells of antral and pre-antral follicles in the ovaries. It serves as a biomarker of functional ovarian reserve, reflecting the number of follicles responsive to gonadotropin stimulation.

What Does AMH Predict?

AMH levels can help estimate:

• Response to ovarian stimulation during assisted reproductive treatments
• The number of eggs that may be retrieved in an in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycle

What AMH Does Not Predict

AMH cannot predict:

• Egg quality
• Likelihood of conception, either naturally or through assisted reproductive technologies
